Kathmandu, January 2: The Jamaican Minister for Tourism Edmund Bartlett, who is in Nepal to participate in the inaugural ceremony of Visit Nepal Year 2020, visited various sites and heritage areas on today, which are under reconstruction.
Minister Bartlett visited Dharahara, Kathmandu Durbar Square area, Durbar High School, Rani Pokhari and Mahadev temple of Tripureshwor and received information regarding their reconstruction.
During his observation visit, he expressed that the stronger and safer reconstruction is impressive and preservation of originality during reconstruction of heritage sites can have positive impact on tourists. Minister Bartlett expressed that the reconstruction work in Nepal is commendable.
The Visit Nepal Year 2020 has started from Wednesday. It was inaugurated by President Vidhya Devi Bhandari in Dashrath Stadium. Ministers and Sate Ministers of Tourism from different countries had arrived for the event.
